When we came across this beautiful grey home on Instagram, it was love at first sight and we knew we had to share it with you.

We are big fans of grey for a kids room but grey works so well for the entire home too. It is a calming colour that oozes style as we can see from this beautiful home that belongs to Viktoria Holmgren. Viktoria is a Swedish mum of two who works as a pre-school teacher and has a huge love for interior styling and photography. Her eye for interiors is truly stunning as you can see from her Instagram feed.

When we took a look around Viktoria’s home, it was the little details that caught our eye. The mixing of different shades of grey, adding in touches of natural wood and small accents of colour added through plants and flowers. Everything comes together so naturally.

Aren’t these bedrooms dreamy? We’re loving the abundance of linen fabric throughout the rooms which adds a raw softness to every room. There are lots of different shades of grey used throughout which breaks up the colour without taking away from the overall mood.

Mixed in with all the grey are neutral tones like raw wood, whites and the odd touch of dusty pink – all complementing the grey perfectly. The different textures like the shaggy rug, the rattan baskets and the flowy fabrics add to the magic of this home.

It is the details that make a house a home and in this home, no detail has been overlooked. From the coat hooks to the playful artwork on the kid’s room walls to the storage baskets – everything works together to create a harmonious and beautiful space.

Have you fallen in love yet?  There is so much to love about this home but most of all it’s the calming, serene feeling that you get, just by looking at the pictures. So imagine how it feels living there. And if you weren’t already a lover of grey, have you changed your mind yet?

There are tons more pictures of this beautiful home on Viktoria’s Instagram feed so make sure to take a look.  We are off to paint our homes grey now!
