We are big fans of Ikea and not just for their furniture. Ikea makes some very stylish toys too and one of our favourites is the duktig play kitchen.  It’s a modern play kitchen in wood and white and we love it as it is. But we also love the potential of customising this kitchen to make it even more special and unique for your child.

There are so many amazing duktig hacks out there that it was difficult to choose our top 6. But one of our absolute favourites was the beautiful kitchen pictured at the top. We’re loving the retro wallpaper as well as the rose gold handles, tap and all the utensils have been made rose gold too.  How pretty is this kitchen and so easy to recreate? We’re also loving the corner they’ve created and all the flowers and leaves on top of the kitchen look so gorgeous too. (See more pictures of the stunning  @christine_simplybloom’ s home in this post) .

While we love the top one, we also found lots of others to inspire you.  From modern monochromes to antique brass accents, there is a duktig hack for every taste. Here are the rest of our picks:

For a completely different look, we are loving this modern monochrome version of the play kitchen. The details are so great — the wooden ball handles are so cute and we love the idea of the chalkboard added to the front.  The black sink and tap just add to the modern feel of this kitchen.

How elegant does this minty green and copper kitchen look? We love the colour combo and also the addition of the cooking knobs. They’ve even made a tea towel to match the kitchen.

Many adults would be delighted to have a kitchen like this grey-green one, complete with marble worktop and antique brass fixtures and fittings.  To simplify the design even further, they have removed the top part of the kitchen, making it look very minimal but yet there’s lots of potential for play.

Wooden worktops are always a great look with white units in a kitchen, but to add that extra shot of style, we’re loving the gold accents and the updated handles. And let’s not forget the tile effect splashback. A simple and stylish kitchen.

Blush pink, white and natural wood – what’s not to love?  his play kitchen is so simple and chic. We love the natural wood accents like the wooden ball handles and the wooden knobs. It all looks so pretty with the pink.  A simple yet so striking hack.

Which is your favourite kitchen?
