Halloween is nearly upon us.  And that means lots of ghosts and ghouls and even more candy. While we can’t say we’re crazy about the really spooky side of Halloween, we can’t resist a ghost or two.  So if you’re the same, we’ve got some super cute ghost party ideas for you and your kids to create.

We love how ghosts lend themselves to all kinds of decorations from food to costumes. And the best part is that they always end up looking super sweet rather than scary.

If you want to go for a show stopper for your ghostly party, that ghost cake pictured at the top is the cake to make.  It will make a spook-tacular centre piece for your Halloween party table.  And of course it will be delicious to devour after it’s been admired.

Here are some more ghostly ideas for your Halloween party:

Whats the best bit about Halloween for you?  For our kids, it’s all about the candy.  And for us, it’s all about stealing the candy once the kids have gone to bed!  So these ghost pinantas are the perfect decoration for any Halloween do.  The kids will adore smashing them and then devouring all the candy inside.

These happy ghost cookies are so adorable! Not only will they be delicious to eat but the kids will love making and decorating them.

For something a little different, try making these cute ghost tassels.  You can turn them into a gorgeous ghostly garland or we love the idea of tying these around treat bags and giving one to each kid to take home.

Here’s an idea that combines Halloween and autumn – leaf ghosts.  The kids will love painting these and they would look great scattered on your party table or fill up a few clear vases and display them around your home.  These don’t come with a ‘how to’ as they, of course, don’t need one.

No Halloween can be complete without some pumpkins, right? So why not turn your pumpkins into little pumpkin ghosts. You can even add a few other not-so-spooky characters to make a pumpkin family.

Kids love eating food on sticks so this Halloween make these white chocolate ghosts on pretzel sticks.

Which is your favourite ghostly decoration?
