When we stumbled across the instagram feed of Milly Mint, we knew we had to share it with you. She shares photos of her home which is oh so beautiful.
The vibe of the home is minimal but with bags of warmth and character. There are lots of natural wood accents throughout the home, all complemented with unexpected pops of colour. Milly has included lots of little details such as wall hangings, toys and other decorations which add interest to this beautiful home.
Milly’s pictures share little glimpses of her family’s day to day life, especially their play time. She has created cute little play corners throughout the home. Much of her kids furniture is easily movable and it looks like she moves it around depending on which room they are spending time in that day. We love this idea as it allows kids to play near you, no matter where you are in the home.
While Milly’s home is minimal, there are lots of subtle pops of colour like touches of neon yellow, bright blue and bright pinks. Although there is colour dotted throughout the home, it is understated and adds brightness without being overpowering in any way. The little pops of colour also really stand out against the neutral decor in the home.
It feels like every little detail in this home has been thought through, from the simple wooden furniture to the decorations. There is also an element of fluidity to this beautiful home. The wall decorations, much of the furniture, cushions and throws are all at home in any space throughout the house. They are often moved around according to where they are needed. This idea of using multi-purpose furniture is so practical and allows you to keep things pared back too.
