«Dear world, I hope you are having a very nice time. I have been a part of you and I appreciate you a lot. You contain so many beautiful and lovely things for us: the tall trees, the mountains with its sweet smelling flowers and the blue skies with all the birds on it. But the seas are what I like the most of you…»
Today Bobo Choses launches the Autumn Winter 17/18 collection called Dear World. It is inspired by the sea and all the beautiful things it contains. It also raises the question of how should we relate to it in a sustainable way.
Bobo Choses Autumn Winter 2017/2018
We are always expectant about the prints of the new collection. Bobo Choses speaks the language of children, through the cuts, fabrics, graphics, and colours of their amazing pieces.
This season, their playful prints are inspired by the sea surface (beach crabs, flocks of birds, crisp waves, sailboats and Alma Siedhoff- Buscher famous Bauspiel toy); the sea depth’s inhabitants (school of coloured fish, octopuses, corals and jellyfish), and the seafaring world: famous captains, ship names and the memory of maritime environmental disasters.
With the sea as the point of departure of the collection, it is not a surprise that the shapes and fabrics are inspired by fishermen’s clothing, creating comfy and playful clothes that spark children’s imagination (and adults alike).
But the collection is also about recycling, reusing, picking up, and of course, and taking care of the environment. The 60% of their AW17/18 production is organic cotton. They are also using recycled polyester and biodegradable polybags in order to reduce their environmental impact.
Definitely, you should go to their website and discover all the new collection. We have seen some knits and dresses that will be key pieces for our little one’s new wardrobe.
