Creativity is not only for kids, as you can see in this wonderful playhouse that has been created by a mum who wanted to surprise her daughter, Tallis, on Christmas Day. We love the result with this simple and minimalist style, perfect to wake up their imagination…lovely, don’t you think?
The idea was offering her something to play with, avoiding gift wraps, an ecological and long-lasting proposal. The only problem was assembling it the night before to see her surprised face when she found this refuge-playhouse.
The structure is made of high-quality cardboard which is nowadays used to build many playhouses. It’s resistant and recyclable. Then you only have to choose the furniture for the inside.
In this case, they have chosen a very simple decoration but with a very careful selection of elements. The crib’s bedding that has been customized by Catsandboys or the blocks with one of the girl’s names, Belle, are some examples of it. The wardrobe is a funny sticker by Ferm living and the white Hula-hoops made with washi tapes. Even these wonderful rag dolls have been specially created for this playhouse by the designer Sophie Smeekers.
Of course, you don’t need to look for every customized detail, you can create a personal space with just a few of elements. Using things we have already at home is also a great option. A light garland or some small pieces of furniture which can be restored will add a personal touch!
We love the quality of every detail and we know that kids prefer imagining their own atmospheres. For this reason, this playhouse is perfect for them. Fun will last forever!
