Looking for ideas to make a dream bedroom for your little son? I’m sure you can find lots of pictures of girl’s rooms, but it’s a little more difficult discover creative boy’s room. Don’t you think?
Today I show you a beautiful toddler boy’s room with a handmade house bed and plenty of vintage finds. This is the Beckett’s room, and his mum is one the Vintage Whites Market Girls, who organize unique vintage markets in Montana, Colorado, Missouri, and Utah.
This amazing bed is like a treehouse! It’s up off the ground so there’s storage underneath (yes, if you have kids, you always need creative storage solutions), and once Bennet outgrows it we can turn it into a little fort for him!
They choose the decor accessories carefully.Textiles, lamps and toys are a great way to add warmth and personality to any room. My favourites are the pillowcase (designed by Roxy Marj for Land of Nod), the rug from Target and the fox pillow from Urban Outfitters. They add a delicate, graphic touch to the bedroom.
They’ve created an adorable nook, a little area for Beckett to sit and read. It’s composed by a stylish teepee (they picked it up from one of their vendors), a bear skin rug (from the 1920s!) and some cushions. Close to this corner, you can see a really beautiful rocking horse.
Colourful accents and antique finds do have a place in your child’s room. Most all of the toys that you can see in this toddler bedroom are market, antique, or thrift store finds. They look great with the modern black lamps and the amazing bed. Vintage style gives you free rein to mix and match one-off treasures from different eras and adds personality to the decoration.
The dresser and the locker are also market finds. This metal locker adds an industrial touch to the room, and they use it to hold all his little toys in wire baskets.
Lovely, isn’t it? This bedroom is a creative place where Beckett can sleep, learn and play.
