It’s that time of year for picnics and playing outside, so we thought we would share some of our favourite tableware finds for kids this summer.
All of these pieces are practical and durable, child-safe, stylish AND lots of fun for little ones of all ages, from weaning tots right up to tweens. And what’s more, they are perfect for both outdoor and indoor all-year-round use.
First up is this wild and wonderful melamine collection by Helen Dardik for Dutch brand Psikhouvanjou (pictured above). Bright and colourful with playful animal characters created in Helen’s signature retro style, we love the combination of pastel mints and pinks with deeper contrasting shades of orange, yellow, blue and green.
All the way from France is this adorable melamine tableware collection by French design studio Bandjo for Atomic Soda (below). We found it at Mini & Momo in Holland, and we adore the sophisticated colour palette of soft green, pink and mustard yellow (not to mention those cute little cats and birds!)

For a spark of monochrome magic, British brand Buddy and Bear is one of the best! From dreamy cloud plates to number cups and friendly bear faces, the whole collection is totally stunning and striking (and it looks beautiful in this photograph, styled by Dutch Instagrammer Leentjes Home):

Bamboo tableware is a big hit this springtime, and that’s no surprise when you find beautiful pieces like this Hungry Bear Set by Love Mae in Australia (available in Europe at Butik Loveliness in Sweden). Although slightly less hard- wearing than melamine, it is non-toxic, biodegradable and wonderfully tactile, not to mention, far too cute for words!)

Last but not least, how could we not show you this amazing ‘Ice Cream’ tableware set by Engel? Including a plate, bowl and cup, all made from biodegradable bamboo, it’s just the job for summer treats, lollipops and all.
