Scandinavian style is one of the most followed models today. You just have to take a look to any Nordic blog to get great ideas to add a Scandinavian touch to our children’s bedroom.

In this bedroom’s case, they have used light and soft colours mixed with some touch of blue. This combination is present in the bed where white and blue are the focus of attention. The floor in an oak tone and the bedside — the famous Componibi by Kartell–– is white with a touch of black. Following this line, one of the walls is white and the other one shows a grey and white wallpaper. The room’s focus of attention is the Eames Rocking Chair which combines the white tone of its seat whit the wood of its legs.

We can also see some ornaments hanging on the wall: a black owl, a bag with something similar to a deer-shaped soft toy and a wooden box with little houses inside and some stars. The use of nature-inspired decorative elements is a very characteristic feature of Scandinavian design because the join the home with its environment.

Here, we realize —once again— that simplicity doesn’t have to be anything negative. Maybe the “less is more” rule should be more applied by interior designers, now more than ever.
