In our last feature, we shared our top five shelves for children’s rooms. So today we have hand-picked our favourite shelf accessories to decorate them!

As we mentioned in our previous post, shelves are a great way to add a special decorative feature to your child’s wall, as well as to display special trinkets, toys and memories. These beautiful wooden accessories styled by Mitahli Designs in Australia (above and below) are no exception. From wooden radios by Kids Kulture and to hand-painted cityscape blocks by Babee and Me, not to mention their very own wooden sailing boats, these adorable accessories will add a touch of cuteness to any nursery (and we LOVE the combination of natural wood with white, soft grey and black):

These gorgeous toys by British brand Sarah and Bendrix are the perfect gift, and a stunning shelf accessory when play is over. They are part of a gorgeous collection of stackers, pull along toys, wooden figurines and magnetic toys, all crafted from beautiful natural wood:

Just like all of the above, these toys (all available at Bobby Rabbit) are equally at home on the shelf as scattered on your living room floor:

This bi-plane shelf by Upwarsaw made our top five, and we adore the styling  of it here in Oliver’s nursery, son of the creators of The Little Love. The wooden alphabet blocks are made by Babee and Me and are a lovely way to personalise your child’s room:

Alternatively, you could use a light box on the shelf and let your child choose their very own special message!

How many things can you fit on a shelf? Well, as Sophie from Kids Design Life on Instagram shows us in the photo below, the more the merrier! Cushions, soft toys, favourite story books, little night lights and special toys all come together (carefully arranged by colour) to create a pretty feature on your child’s wall, full to the brim with their favourite things. So sweet!
