There’s no denying that black and white is still a big trend in children’s interiors this summer. Smart, striking and uber-stylish, it blends perfectly into the modern home.
But what about the kids? Will they love it as much as we do?
Well, here’s a way to style it that will not only look amazing, but will appeal to the kids as much as the grown ups…The ever popular and timeless superhero theme looks super cool in black and white — and the good news is, little ones will love it too!
We have picked a few of our favourite superhero rooms to show you what we mean. We love that this look is so easy to re-create: Simply paint the walls white, and add a few accessories that will tell the story and spark your child’s imagination.

Think about creating a feature wall as a focal point for the room. Pick out one wall, and either choose a wallpaper or — as shown above — wall decals. Batman, lightning bolts or simple black triangles do the job well and will set the theme for the rest of the room.
As shown below, shelves are a brilliant way to display favourite accessories and books. Using hooks or hangers for superhero themed storage bags can add a splash of fun to the walls, whilst being practical and space-saving too:

Prints and wall banners will also add interest to walls, and will continue to tell the story throughout the room:

And last but not least, make sure you have some cool bedding or cushions to finish it off! After all, who wouldn’t want to sleep in this fun and cosy super-space?
